Job Description:

ROLE PURPOSE:

Performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and facilities, repairs and maintenance of electrical system and the physical state of the buildings to ensure that all SCI properties, utilities/services and assets are well maintained.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

  1. Ensure proper systems and manage office facilities – including lease maintenance, plumbing, electricity, ACs repairing and office supplies – ensuring the most environmental friendly approaches are used.
  2. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  3. Ensure that internal and external communications systems function effectively and efficiently
  4. Provides administrative support to guests, visitors including partner organisations involved in SCI activities.
  5. Check all properties weekly for necessary repairs (through checklists) and trouble shooting technical / facility problems and ensure proper system is in place for timely repair of damaged and broken equipment
  6. Attend to Administration filing system and help the team to have proper documentation – update contents and label of each folder.
  7. Ensuring that all documents are scanned and archived in good manner before submitting to finance for payment purposes
  8. Ensure that all data trackers (Flight, accommodation, maintenance, stock ledger, lease contracts and etc.) are up to date and make sure that one copy of updated version must exist in share drive.
  9. Assist Admin Officer in terms of stock management – being able to issue stationary/consumable items as per approved SRF.
  10. Any official duty which are assigned by his line manager.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor Degree is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

        • Total experience 3-4 years in a relevant position with international NGOs or UN
  • Sector experience 2-3 years
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, generator workings, plumbing
  • DARI/PASHTO & ENGLISH

 

Desirable

  • Computer skills (word processing and Excel)
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication Skills
  • Multi-tasking/organizing
