Job Description:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  1. She/he will assist Project Manager in establishing appropriate systems/ mechanism to implement the CBE-EIE program in partnership with communities and district education authorities.
  2. Establish links among communities, hub schools, CEC, DED and local stakeholders in order to maintain and strengthen good relationship for better implementation of the project interventions.
  3. Participation in the external district level education meetings and represent the CBE-EIE project in a well manner.
  4. Understand the purpose, rules & regulation of Education in Emergencies at field level.
  5. Regular contact with the CEC and teachers and holding discussion/ meeting about the problems they face, needs identify and prioritized with a tentative possible solutions. The meeting will be recorded through proper minutes with a copy in the field and in the Kabul office.
  6. Work closely with communities (CECs, SMCs and SCs) and the District Education Department (DED)/ Provincial Education Department (PED) to improve the quality of learning and access to basic education.
  7. Supervise the work of site supervisors, EiE teachers and or facilitators and assist them in the delivery of project work plan.
  8. Organize monthly and bi-monthly meetings of CECs, SMCs, SCs and DED and record through proper minutes.
  9. Arrange joint monitoring visits for hub schools, DED and PED/MOE to see and monitor the EiE classes. The finding would be share through a proper report.
  10. Follow up the implementation of the Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs) for all components of the project.
  11. Support the site supervisors in implementation of the field work by having proper on job training and mentoring planning.
  12. Properly plan the bi-weekly field visits from the EiE classes and communities (CECs, SMCs and SCs) and provide the respective finding through a comprehensive report.
  13. Closely Coordinate and support the relevant activities of the project with SCI field staff on timely manner.
  14. Providing technical assistance to MEAL officer in the process of project data collections and data management.
  15. Curry out on the job monitoring of project activities, maintain accurate record, analysis, facilitate & assist in monitoring & evaluation of project activities with support of SCI & other stakeholders.
  16. Report project work progress information to project manager after completion of each monitoring & evaluation process.
  17. Collect information for EiE project data base on regular basis from the field.
  18. Develop project orientation package, and organize project orientation sessions for the community mobilizers, CEC, SMCs, SCs, and invite other key community individuals to participate in the project implementation process.
  19. Assist master trainer in identification of training needs and in organizing training workshops for targeted project beneficiaries.
  20. Organise and lead participatory workshops/meeting in the village for implementation of EiE programme and project relevant activities.
  21. Provide necessary administrative support in facilitation of workshops and seminars for potential stakeholders and beneficiaries in the area of lesson learned, experience sharing and challenges.
  22. Assist the EiE project manager in producing of project progress reports, quarterly reports, and annual reports, and or as per donor reporting schedule.
  23. Keep the records of relevant monthly and quarterly progress reports of the project.
  24. Update the filling system daily, weekly and monthly bases with incoming and outgoing correspondence with DED, PED and MOE.
  25. Carry out any other relevant task assigned by the line manager and project team.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduated from Education University or any relevant institute.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the implementation of education programs/projects preferably with International NGOs.
  • Very good spoken and written Dari, Pashtoo – understanding of English language is essential.
  • Good working skills on computer i.e. Microsoft office (word, excel, power point).
  • Excellent in report writing (progress report) and in understanding the format.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Essential

  • Graduated from Education University or any relevant institute.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the implementation of education programs/projects preferably with International NGOs.
  • Able to travel inside Kunduz and related districts, outside of the duty station as and when required.
  • Good communication, presentational and inter personal relation skills.

 

Desirable

  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • A good team player & problem solver.
